I wonder if it was the size of your eggs? What size did you use? I have chickens so my eggs are often larger than store bought. But I am surprised you had the smoothie consistency because each time I've made it, it's thick and instant soft serve texture. I didn't use my Blendtec, but my smaller ninja. What kind of fruit did you use? I've made it with strawberry and mango and can't taste or smell the eggs.

I gave this recipe a try today and found it lacking. Even though I used the exact measurements and my Vitamix high powered blender, mine was very thin-like I needed a straw rather than a spoon. It's not a deal-breaker, but clarification that its immediate state is a smoothie consistency. Unfortunately, it clearly had an eggy smell and a mild egg taste; this is a deal-breaker. Even a dash of vanilla didn't cover it up. I'm thinking that this recipe would be better using VERY strong flavors -like possibly citrus or with chocolate(cocoa) and or peanut powder since they are stronger in flavor and odor to cover up the presence of eggs. I've used cooked eggs to make chocolate pudding with good success. Just a thought.
