					<description><![CDATA[Made the pie last night and it was a BIG hit!! I was on the Daniel Fast and was googling was to use mealy apples WITHOUT sugar and you popped up!  but since I couldn&#039;t use sweeter of any kind I had to tweet just a little... I did;t use any sweetener.  I used a mixture of Rose, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious &#038; red Delicious apples( had a bunch on hand and was trying to make good use of them).  I peeled and chunked them up them simmered in natural Apple juice ( just enough to cover), while simmering I added bout a teaspoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt then  brought to a boil then reduced heat and simmered for about 20 minutes then added couple tablespoons rice flour to thicken juice. cooled for 30 min then poured in to crust ( I put a few pats of Earth blend throughout the bottom crust before pouring in filling sprinkled cinnamon .  I latticed the top crust and added a few more pats of Earth Blend here and there on the top crust sprinkled little more cinnamon. It really was just sweet enough and trust me I am a lover of sweets so I was pleasantly surprised! #dontneedallthatsugar]]></description>
