You can skip the sweetener, i use it only to mask some of the coconut flour flavor. You don't have to pre bake. Thank you!

Hi, Brenda. I have two questions. Do I have to add sweetener to the crust recipe? My traditional pie crust isn’t sweet.
Do I have to bake it first? When I make apple pie, the crust is not prebaked, so I’m wondering if this would work the same way.
I absolutely love your page and site. I tell everyone who will listen that you’re great and they should take a look.

I haven’t made this crust yet, but I love all of your recipes, and I like the taste and texture of coconut flour more than almond flour. My question is this:

I can't believe this recipe gets 3.5 stars. If there is a better one out there, please let me know which.
I've tried this for both sweet and savoury recipes and it is super easy and turned out great every time so far.
I am a sugar craver and that makes Keto hard to stick to. Always looking for something to calm the cravings and this recipe really has helped me.
I came across it looking for something to make Turkey Pot pies after getting a 19lb Turkey for 3 people and wanted options for lots of leftovers! I made a few pot pies and learned that if you over cook it, it's very dry and soak all the moisture from the filling. Took 2 dinners to figure this out.
Now I've made Lemon Curd Tarts with the sweet version and they are delicious. The crust used in tarts is perfect. I did the cooked filling and was careful to not overcook the shells. I loved them and have never actually made lemon tarts before. Once these are gone, I'm definitely going to be making your Coconut Curd recipe.
I've tried so many Almond Flour crusts and I do not like the flavour or texture of almond flour in pretty much every baked goods I've tried. I picked up a big bag of Coconut Flour a couple months ago and have discovered for me it's a game changer. Now with this pie crust recipe the Keto will be so much more doable.
Thank You, Brenda!! I can't wait to share this with my GF's at our next coffee date. They are nevr going to believe this is an easy SF delight! Looking forward to trying more of your recipes.

@Brenda Bennett
Your recipe calls for "Monk fruit allulose sweetener." So I'm confused.
What is a substitute for the Monk fruit allulose sweetener? Even if burning isn't an issue.
