Was reading about this recently since I am famished and hate the scale during my period. The hormonal fluctuations are sending all of the wrong signals and our dopamine and seratonin levels...signaling more carb and sugar craving to balance our brain chemistry , etc. THE GOOD news is at least for me and many others is that if you increase your water intake during this time and still attempt some exercise the weight should come off more easily right after the period is over. So, every moment you're hungry those days drink more water. Wait a few days to weigh in and you might be pleasantly surprised.

It was my turn for children home with fevers and other problems this week, so although I managed to go sugar-free, I still managed to overeat on some seriously delicious new snack recipes I was trialling. I am starting Monday this week with a part fast, which will get me into a good cycle of self-control and being aware of when my stomach is saying 'yes' and 'no'.
Thanks for your encouragement and the delicious recipes!

Thanks for sharing Lauren! I also have a difficult time before my period. I crave salt like there is no tomorrow! I prayed for you and it will be a good day!

This week was a rough week for me eating wise. I realize this will be to much info, but the week before my period is BRUTAL for me for trying to stay on track of my eating. I woke up this morning with some new resolve though, and today WILL be a good day. Thanks for the inspiring post!
