Hi Paulette,
I started my blog in 2011 and at that time in my life I was only white refined sugar free, not low carb. This recipe was written in 2011 and has not been adapted for low carb.
Some recipes here are referred to as SUGAR FREE .... yet part of the ingredients may be blueberries or bananas.

That's not sugar free from the standpoint Carbs turn into sugar .... therefore, the recipe is maybe "No Sugar Added." There is plenty of sugar in a banana .....

Just curious as to your response. When looking at sugar contents, I look at BOTH carbs & sugar ......

Thank You.

The amount of stevia to the amount of splenda would be quite different. Stevia is alot sweeter so you need a lot less. If I were to guess you could use 1/2 cup of splenda for this recipe.

Hi, I really want to try this recipe out but struggling to find the whole wheat pastry flour. I have been to Coles and Woolworths but can't find it. I can locate wholemeal flour and flour that has wheat flour noted as an ingredient but nothing specifically called whole wheat pastry flour. There is pastry mix but I think that's more for shortbread and puff pastry. Is this special flour found at health shops or can I just use normal plain flour? Thanks

hmmm that is quite a few adaptions. Whole wheat flour is alot heavier and dense. Not sure if you double the baking soda how it will work for you. You can certainly omit the flaxseed without problem.
