I can’t use I used coconut oil as I love butter!! Seems to make a flakery pie crust in my opinion but for those with dairy allergies it’s a good idea.

And have you tried this with coconut oil? (don’t worry – I read the post and saw your note!) I only ask because I’ve had the worst time using the two interchangeably in pie crusts. I wonder if it’s different with different types of flour!
