<p>Sometimes they&#8217;re green, sometimes they&#8217;re not. 🙂 But one thing remains in a good smoothie that will hold you over until your next snack or meal, PROTEIN.</p>



<p>As long as it has a good dose of healthy protein in it, then it&#8217;s a win to me. My protein of choice lately and in the last few smoothie creations has been 100% pasteurized egg whites. Why you ask? Simply because I like how creamy they make my smoothie and I can feel good about giving them to my kids if they want what I&#8217;m drinking.</p>



<p>Some of my<a title="Smoothies &amp; Beverages" href="https://www.sugarfreemom.com/smoothies-beverages/" target="_blank"> smoothies</a> contain protein powder and with them I make sure to find the pure- est I can without lots of additives and sugars, but lately I just want what&#8217;s natural and egg whites are it. As long as you purchase the carton that says they have been pasteurized there won&#8217;t be a problem. If you are lucky enough to raise your own chickens or know someone who does then of course that is even better. Either way this smoothie is a nice dose of fruity flavor with creamy coconut milk and honestly no egg white taste is noticeable in the least. I promise you! And of course if you are a green smoothie lover feel free to throw in a handful of fresh spinach! 😉</p>
