This looks very interesting! I really don’t like the store-bought sugar free instant puddings as they are loaded with sodium! I’m going to try this but instead of heavy cream I’m going to try using some yogurt—thinking this should work. Thanks for the recipe! Cheers!

I love chocolate pudding and will for sure try this however is there a way to make this without the chocolate so I can use it in my banana pudding recipe. I have an alergy to corn starch and just about ever pudding in the box is loaded with it. I found a liquid banana flavoring and can add smashed bananas but I need a pudding mixture. Vanilla would work and I could just add the banana flavorings. I was thinking leaving out that much cocoa powder is going to change the ratio. Thanks

I don’t want to sound mean but if you have to cook it then it isn’t instant. I’ve yet to find a DIY instant pudding mix.

I’d be interested in this as well. I (successfully) did Medifast for awhile and the chocolate pudding mix packets were my favorite — Pour mix in a mug, add water, and stir. But the MF products price kept rising, and I had to quit. Gained back unwanted pounds.

I’ve been looking for a dry instant mix I can take to work and just add water to prepare. I was hoping your recipe would do that. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

Do you have a recipe for *instant* pudding, as it is named? I was so disappointed to find that this is definitely not an “instant” pudding recipe, but a regular cooked sugar-free pudding.
