Slow Cooker Cabbage and Onions

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup bone broth
  • 12 cups cabbage chopped or shredded (1 large head)
  • 2 cups onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • optional crushed red chili peppers
  • optional crispy bacon to top

Instructions

  • Pour bone broth into the slow cooker then add all remaining ingredients. Stir to combine well. 
  • Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours or until tender to your liking. 
  • QUICK TIP: Sub 24 ounces of pre shredded coleslaw mix to save time instead of chopping a head of cabbage.
