This fabulous recipe first published on June 5th of 2012 needed some new updated photos!

It’s only 24 calories!  Only 2 grams of fat and TASTES TERRIFIC! It’s quick and easy to make in a blender and a whole lot less expensive than buying a frappe at any coffee chop!

No, it is not false advertising. No, it is not too good to be true either. YOU can have this without guilt!! It really looks like it should be an exorbitant amount of calories but it’s not at all.

I love the chocolaty frappe bubbles that happen from mixing in the blender!

Add a dollop of Dairy Free Whipped Cream and some cacao nibs and go relax!

Kept an old pic for you to laugh at. :)

This recipe is adapted from my Low Calorie Iced Coffee Vanilla Frappe ,  added some cocoa and stevia and…….OH MY!!!

PURE DELIGHT!!

The only difference with this one as opposed to the vanilla frappe, I really feel you need the chocolate stevia to get that mocha flavor. BUT still your call here. If you can do without any sweetness then try it without at first. You can always add it in after. If you don’t have chocolate stevia use vanilla or plain. Or use any other sweetener of choice.

I couldn’t even wait to drink this…..Looks like I almost drank half before the final pic was taken. No worries…..I can make it again today, and tomorrow, and the next day……….. :)

I’m so glad you liked the vanilla, that one is still my favorite. I’m just a vanilla girl, but those who LOVE chocolate will favor this one. Powdered stevia will work too.

Do you use instant coffee, or actually brewed coffee? We are not coffee drinkers in our house; I don’t even own a coffee pot. I do love flavored coffee, but hate paying the high prices at coffee houses, not to mention the low nutritional value in the drinks there.

    Hi,
I noticed the points value is different with the mocha and vanilla, is it because of the sweetener or the chocolate? Thanks for this recipe, I’m making it right now:)

  3. Bonnie says

I have tried several brands of stevia only to find they have a horrible aftertaste that makes me feel sick. Are the liquid versions better tasting?
Does Sweetleaf powdered version have an aftertaste?

  4. says

I made this, as promised. Instead of Stevia, I used Whey Protein powder Vanilla. Normally I find it very difficult to drink it. Also, I used fat free Lactaid, and organic sweetener. Today it was totally delish! Thanks so much!!!

I just came across your blog recently and decided to give this recipe a try. Love it! So does my husband, a die hard coffee/latte addict. We are making a second batch today. Can’t wait to try more of your recipes!

I’ve been intrigued by your recipes using the liquid Stevia as we have been trying to cut sugar out of our diets, but find a lot of recipes using other sweeteners leave a bad aftertaste. Your comment that this has no aftertaste has convinced me to give it a try! I will be placing an order very soon and trying some of the yummy-sounding recipes you’ve been posting. Thanks so much!

OMG that looks great but I have a silly question
What is the chilled brewed coffe is ?
Do you mean to make ordinary coffe and then chill it?
    :)

Oh my goodness thank you so so so much! I just discovered I’m lactose intolerant and really don’t want to give up all the foods I love. I can’t wait to try some of these recipes :)

Hey Brenda, I have been making “Light Mocha Frappuccino’s” ala Starbucks, forever! I use 1 Cup of Fat Free Lactaid Milk, 7 ice cubes, 1 heaping teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 packet of sweetener (Splenda, Stevia, etc.) Put in a blender for 30 seconds and pour into the Venti Starbucks cup. Mmm….yummy!

  14. jan says

Oops….forgot the coffee part in the Frap recipe……1 teaspoon of Via instant Starbucks or any other instant coffee.

I’m 16 years old and im trying to loose weight ….but I love a good iced coffee with no cream and Ice cream.I then found this recipe , and this recipe is really good but I had to add 1/2 spoon of drinking chocolate and I reduced the coco to 3 teaspoons , but its soooo good :) thanks , I will be using this recipe again :)

I just found your site looking for low fat, sugar free frozen coffee. This sounds so awesome I can’t wait to try it even though I’m not much of a coffee drinker. Have you tried the same ingredients with hot coffee? (not the ice of course) Thanks!

  17. Sherry says

This sounds good. But instead of the cocoa powder and stevia, I may try using the sugar-free Torani chocolate flavoring.

  18. Melia says

I just made this with Special Dark cocoa powder and used sugar free Torani chocolate syrup in place of the liquid Stevia. It’s yummy! The Special Dark cocoa powder made it really rich.

  19. Patricia says

Perfect timing! I was thinking I needed to find an iced coffee recipe using unsweetened almond milk. Will try this one today! Thanks for reposting this recipe and making my search easy.

  20. Common Sense says

Made this tonight with Hershey’s Dark Cocoa Powder. It took all of 2 minutes to make and is scrumptious! I did add about a tbsp of Swerve since I think stevia alone is a bit bitter. Definitely will make it again and again!

  21. Matthew says

So trying this! This looks wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
I am really happy to hear that I will not *absorb* a lot of calories AND that there are not an *exorbitant* number of calories in the first place.
    OMG, I just grammar-snobbed you!
You should ban English majors from reading your blog :-)

  22. says

Yesssss! Doing a happy dance! Never had a McDonald or Starbucks frappe, but this morning mocha Joe is wonderful! Modified it a bit. Only had plain liquid stevia. Used two teaspoons and add 1 tbsp of HWC. Bought carb count to 3 net carbs. 28 oz. Yes I drunk it all
    thank you!
