The best way I’ve found to stick to my healthy eating goals is having a quick delicious meal that takes just a few minutes to prep and cook. Having simple ingredients on hand for easy low-carb meals is the key to being able to stick to your habits.

โ€‹My goal with this book is to help you learn to make wise food choices more often than you make poor ones so that you can maintain weight loss.

Itโ€™s the sequel to my bestselling book The 30-Day Sugar Elimination Diet, which hundreds of people have successfully used to lose weight.

That book explains how to detox from sugar and refined carbs, and this book teaches you to make better decisions about what you eat despite a food craving, an emotional trigger, or a generally bad day.

There are two parts to this book. Part 1 explains how to apply the Good, Better, Best mindset to every food decision you make, which will allow you to stay on track with your health goals and keep the weight off for good.

Part 2 provides meal plans and 100 delicious low-carb and mostly keto recipes categorized as Good (Enough), Better, and Best, with a back-to- basics whole-food approach and some simple planning and prepping that allows you to decide what you have time to make and how much effort you want to expend:

Good (Enough) recipes take less than 20 minutes.

Better recipes take 15 to 45 minutes, with much of the time for longer recipes being hands-off.

Best recipes require more than 30 minutes. These recipes are for the days you have extra time to meal prep, cook, and enjoy your meals.

Are Traditional Salmon Patties Gluten Free?

No traditional Salmon patties, also known as salmon cakes or salmon croquettes, typically include canned salmon, bread crumbs or crushed crackers, eggs and seasonings like onion, parsley and lemon juice.

Our Low-Carb Salmon Patties are gluten free and low carb since I am using crushed pork rinds or pork rind panko, egg, cheese, salmon and seasonings.

Can I use fresh salmon instead?

Cooking time would change since canned salmon is already cooked. You also may need to add more eggs, cheese and pork rinds or even almond flour to bind the salmon mixture together.

You might like my salmon burger recipe that uses fresh pink salmon, honestly any kind of salmon that is fresh will work for that burger recipe.

Can I make this with crab?

I’ve tested this recipe using tuna, salmon and cooked chicken, but have not tested this recipe using crab meat. I recommend cooking it before following this recipe to make crab cakes.

Can I swap the pork rinds?

If you’re not a fan of pork rinds, you can swap it with almond flour or coconut flour, but please note that it will increase your carbs from the nutritional information below in the printable recipe card.
